Use
Measurement of specific IgE antibodies to occupational allergen ethylene oxide (ImmunoCAP k78) to assess IgE-mediated sensitization in exposed individuals.
Special Instructions
Separate serum specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. This test is New York state approved. Test is performed by a non‑ARUP laboratory.
Limitations
Hemolyzed, icteric, or lipemic specimens are unacceptable. Serum must be separated from cells within 2 hours of collection. Compliance category indicates performance by a non‑ARUP laboratory.
