BF-1 by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: BF1 IHC
Use
The BF-1 by Immunohistochemistry test is used to perform antibody staining and analyze the presence of the BF-1 marker in tissue samples. This test is developed and its performance characteristics are determined by ARUP Laboratories for clinical purposes, aiding in the diagnostic evaluation of samples by identifying the presence and distribution of the BF-1 protein. It is intended for use in a clinical setting to assist pathologists in diagnosing conditions related to the expression of the beta-F1 antibody, enhancing the understanding of tissue characteristics or disease states.

Limitations
The test is performed as a stain and return (technical) service only. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, signifying that it should be used with consideration of these limitations and within CLIA certified laboratory settings only. It is important to note that this test may be subject to variability in results due to non-representative tissue or depleted specimens, which are considered unacceptable conditions for testing.
