CD200 by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: CD200 IHC
Use
This test is used for the detection of CD200 protein expression in tissues. CD200, also known as OX-2, is a type I membrane glycoprotein that is involved in the regulation of immune responses. Immunohistochemistry for CD200 is employed in clinical settings to assist in the differential diagnosis of hematologic neoplasms.
Special Instructions
Prepare and fix tissue specimens in 10 percent neutral buffered formalin and embed in paraffin. Protect from heat and transport in a tissue transport kit. ARUP offers these kits for supply. Do not oven bake precut slides.
Limitations
The performance characteristics of this test were determined by ARUP Laboratories. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, which may affect regulatory acceptance in certain jurisdictions. The test is performed as a technical stain and return service, and interpretive limitations may apply based on specific tissue quality and preservation.
