CDX2 by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: CDX2 IHC
Use
CDX2 by Immunohistochemistry is a stain performed to detect CDX2 protein expression in tissue specimens. It is used as a technical stain-and-return assay to support diagnostic histological evaluation; ARUP provides stained slides or blocks back to the submitting laboratory/pathologist for interpretation.
Special Instructions
This test is performed as a stain and return (technical) service only. Submit electronic request or, if unavailable, use the ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Form (#32978) with an ARUP client number. Refer to ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Offerings brochure. ARUP provides interface mapping; component test codes not sufficient alone.
Limitations
Specimens that are depleted or contain non‑representative tissue types are unacceptable and may be rejected. If sending precut slides, do not oven bake. Slides must be positively charged and 3–5 micron thick. Transport kits must be used to protect specimens from excessive heat.
