Use
The Coccidioides Antigen Quantitative by EIA aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of Coccidioides infection. The test is performed on serum, plasma, and body fluids, allowing for a quantitative measure of Coccidioides antigens, which is crucial in assessing the presence and level of infection.
Special Instructions
This test is not performed at ARUP and requires separate specimen submissions when multiple tests are ordered. A specimen source is required upon submission.
Limitations
The test's performance characteristics were determined by MiraVista Diagnostics and have not been FDA cleared or approved. The results should not be used as the sole means for clinical diagnosis or patient management decisions. There is a potential for low positive cross-reactions in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
