Gabapentin, Urine
Also known as: GABAP U
Use
This test is useful for general testing in the contexts of compliance and/or abuse. It is preferred for following up on presumptive results. The concentration value must be greater than or equal to the cutoff to be reported as a quantitative result. The absence of expected drug(s) and/or drug metabolite(s) may indicate non-compliance, inappropriate timing of specimen collection, poor drug absorption, diluted/adulterated urine, or limitations of testing. It is intended for clinical purposes and not valid for forensic use.
Special Instructions
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by ARUP Laboratories. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. This test was performed in a CLIA certified laboratory.
Limitations
The test is not intended for forensic use. The absence of expected drug(s) and/or drug metabolite(s) may indicate various factors such as non-compliance, inappropriate timing of specimen collection, poor drug absorption, or diluted/adulterated urine. Limitations of testing must be considered when interpreting results.
