HLA Class I and II Panel (A,B,C,DRB1, DQA1, DQB1, DPB1) by Next Generation Sequencing
Also known as: HLA 7LOCI
Use
This test is intended to identify HLA-A, -B, -C, -DRB1, -DQA1, -DQB1, and -DPB1 allelic polymorphisms, which are crucial for pretransplant allele matching in transplant candidates and their donors. It is essential for determining compatibility in organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, thereby reducing the risk of transplant rejection and improving graft survival.
Special Instructions
This assay does not screen for specific diseases and should not be used for diagnostic purposes. It is specifically designed for pretransplant allele matching and requires specimens collected in Lavender (K2 EDTA) or Yellow (ACD Solution A) tubes.
Limitations
The test employs PCR and next-generation sequencing; however, rare diagnostic errors can occur due to primer site mutations. Additional unknown DNA polymorphisms could exist outside analyzed regions, the significance of which is not known.
