Use
Primarily used for research and to support understanding the pathogenesis of immune, infectious, allergic, or inflammatory disorders. Results are utilized to understand the pathophysiology of these disorders or may be used for research purposes.
Special Instructions
Cytokine levels may demonstrate diurnal variation. For longitudinal comparison, it is recommended that cytokine levels be determined at the same time of day.
Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by ARUP Laboratories. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. The test is performed in a CLIA certified laboratory intended for clinical purposes. The lack of FDA approval may impose limitations on certain clinical applications.
