Use
This test is used primarily for research and to understand the pathogenesis of immune, infectious, allergic, or inflammatory disorders. Results aid in understanding the pathophysiology of these conditions and may support studies both for research purposes and clinical insights.
Special Instructions
Cytokine levels may demonstrate diurnal variation. It is recommended that longitudinal comparisons be made at the same time of day to ensure consistency.
Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by ARUP Laboratories. It has not been cleared or approved by the FDA. It is intended for clinical purposes following CLIA certification standards. Refrigerated specimens or those that are contaminated or heat-inactivated are unacceptable.

Storage Instructions
CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Ship in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Refrigerated specimens, contaminated or heat-inactivated specimens.
