Lymphoid Enhancing Factor 1 by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: LEF1 IHC
Use
Lymphoid Enhancing Factor 1 (LEF1) immunohistochemistry is used as an immunohistochemical stain (technical component only) to detect LEF1 protein expression in formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded tissue specimens. This stain aids in the evaluation of lymphoid neoplasms by identifying LEF1 expression. Interpretation should be done by a qualified pathologist in conjunction with clinical history and other diagnostic tests. This is a technical‑only service (“stain and return”) and does not include pathologist interpretation.
Special Instructions
This test is performed as a stain‑and‑return (technical) service only. Ordering recommendation: refer to ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Offerings brochure. This is a laboratory‑developed test (LDT).
Limitations
Specimens must be representative tissue; depleted specimens are unacceptable. Frozen specimens are unacceptable. If sending precut slides, do not oven bake. Interpretation is not included; pathologist consultation must be ordered separately. Slides should be used within recommended stability period. Technical staining only – no diagnostic interpretation is provided.
