Octamer Transcription Factor-3 and -4 (Oct 3/4) by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: OCT3/4 IHC
Use
This test is used for the detection and evaluation of Octamer Transcription Factor-3 and -4 (Oct 3/4), a crucial marker in identifying and studying pluripotent stem cells and germ cell tumors. The immunohistochemical staining technique allows for the visualization of the distribution and localization of Oct 3/4 within tissue samples, providing essential diagnostic and research information.
Special Instructions
This test is performed as a stain and return (technical) service only. It requires electronic ordering through ARUP’s system, or using an ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Form if electronic ordering is not available. Ensure proper use of ARUP client number for all submissions.
