PHOX2B by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: PHOX2B IHC
Use
PHOX2B by Immunohistochemistry is a laboratory‑developed immunohistochemical stain service performed as a "stain and return" diagnostic assay. It is used to detect the nuclear expression of the PHOX2B protein in tissue or cellblock specimens, aiding in identification of relevant cell types or tumors in pathology. This technical IHC stain may support diagnostic evaluation in the context of suspected neural crest or neuroendocrine tissue involvement.
Special Instructions
Submit via electronic request or use ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Form (#32978) if electronic ordering is unavailable, using your ARUP client number. Refer to the ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Offerings brochure for ordering guidance.

This technical service is performed as stain and return only; interpretive analysis is not provided by ARUP. It is a laboratory-developed test (LDT). Only tissue or cellblock specimens with sufficient and representative content are acceptable; depleted or nonrepresentative tissue is unacceptable. Slides should not be oven-baked.
