Pregabalin, Urine
Also known as: PREGABA U
Use
This test is used for general testing contexts of compliance and/or abuse. It serves as the preferred test to follow-up presumptive results. It is particularly useful for monitoring drug levels to ensure compliance with prescribed treatment and for detecting possible drug diversion or misuse.
Special Instructions
This test has been developed and its performance characteristics have been determined by ARUP Laboratories. It has not been cleared or approved by the US FDA but is performed in a CLIA-certified laboratory for clinical purposes.
Limitations
The absence of expected drugs or drug metabolites in the urine may indicate non-compliance, inappropriate timing of specimen collection relative to drug administration, poor drug absorption, or diluted/adulterated urine. The concentration value must be at or above the cutoff to be reported as a quantitative result. This test is not valid for forensic use.
