Prenatal Hepatitis Panel
Also known as: PRENAT HEP
Use
Used for hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) prenatal screening. If the initial HCV antibody result is positive (low or high), the test reflexes to a quantitative nucleic acid amplification (NAAT) to confirm HCV infection. Similarly, if HBsAg screen is reactive (≥1.0), a confirmation is added. Not intended for blood donor screening or HCT/P screening. Clinically indicated for prenatal populations only. Special Instructions
Requires a dedicated transport tube submitted only for this testing. Reflexive testing for HBsAg confirmation or HCV by quantitative NAAT incurs additional charges. ([ltd.aruplab.com](https://ltd.aruplab.com/Tests/Pub/3006343?utm_source=openai))
Limitations
Not to be used for blood donor screening, associated reentry protocols, or screening human cells, tissues, and cellular‑ and tissue‑based products (HCT/P). ([ltd.aruplab.com](https://ltd.aruplab.com/Tests/Pub/3006343?utm_source=openai))
