Somatic TP53 Mutations in Formalin‑Fixed, Paraffin‑Embedded (FFPE) Tissue
Use
Used to identify TP53 mutations in formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded tumor tissue. TP53 mutation status serves as a prognostic biomarker across multiple tumor types, including lymphoid malignancies.
Special Instructions
Include surgical pathology report. Transport block and/or slides in tissue transport kit (ARUP supply #47808). If submitting multiple specimens, specify “Choose best block” or submit individual orders to avoid additional pathologist block selection fee.
Limitations
Specimens with <10% tumor, non‑10% neutral buffered formalin fixation, non‑EDTA decalcifiers, or fine‑needle aspirate smears with <50 tumor cells are unacceptable. Slide(s) will be destroyed during testing and not returned.
