2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) With Influenza A, Influenza B and Respiratory Syncytial Virus, NAA
Also known as: 2019 Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, Influenza, Respiratory Viral panel, SARS-CoV-2
Use
Results are for the identification and differentiation of RNA from SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A, Influenza B and RSV.
Special Instructions
Labcorp does not currently collect specimens for this test. Specimens should be collected at the healthcare facility where the patient was seen and the test was ordered, and sent to Labcorp using standard procedures. Labcorp is continuously working to meet the needs of healthcare workers and patients with increasing capacity while working under emergency use authorizations.
Limitations
The assay is intended for use under the FDA's Emergency Use Authorization specifically for COVID-19 testing. For Influenza A+B and RSV, this test is developed by Labcorp and has not been cleared or approved by the FDA. Negative results do not rule out infection and should be interpreted in the context of the clinical presentation and medical history. Results are typically released electronically to speed up delivery, but delays may occur due to sample transport times and prioritization by healthcare authorities.
