Monitor industrial exposure. This test is not intended to monitor chromium levels in diabetic patients or in patients with suspected chromium deficiencies.
Special Instructions
To ensure accurate results, it is crucial to adhere to proper specimen collection and handling protocols. Separate plasma immediately after collection and transfer it to a certified metal-free plastic transport tube. Be aware that the test may not detect low levels of chromium if not collected and handled as recommended.
Limitations
The test has been developed and its performance characteristics determined by Labcorp, though it has not been cleared or approved by the FDA. It is not suitable for evaluating chromium levels in diabetic patients or in cases of suspected chromium deficiencies.
