Special Instructions

Samples should be transported as instructed, ensuring room temperature for up to 3 days and refrigeration or freezing beyond that period. Confirmatory testing for presumptive positives assists in accurate determination of substance presence, reducing false positives. This test does not distinguish between legally prescribed medications and illicit drug use.

Limitations

The test was developed by LabCorp and its performance characteristics have not been cleared or approved by the FDA. As such, results should be considered as part of a broader clinical assessment. False positives and negatives can occur and reflex confirmation by mass spectrometry is used to improve specificity and sensitivity.
