Ehrlichia Profile, Anaplasma phagocytophilum and Ehrlichia sp., DNA PCR
Also known as: Human Granulocytic Ehrlichiosis (Anaplasma phagocytophilum), Human Monocytic Ehrlichiosis (Ehrlichia chaffeensis)
Use
This test is intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of both human granulocytic anaplasmosis (HGA), formerly known as human granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE), caused by Anaplasma phagocytophilum and human monocytic ehrlichiosis (HME) caused by Ehrlichia chaffeensis. This assay will also detect other Ehrlichia species including E. ewingii and E. muris.
