F306-IgE Lime
Use
The F306-IgE Lime test measures the specific IgE antibodies related to lime allergy, which can assist in diagnosing allergy levels in patients. The levels of specific IgE can determine the class of allergy and its severity ranging from Negative to Very High. This test is used in the clinical evaluation of patients with suspected allergic reactions to lime.
Special Instructions
This test was developed and its performance characteristics were determined by LabCorp. It is intended for clinical purposes. The specimen should be serum collected in a red-top or gel-barrier tube with a volume of at least 0.2 mL.
Limitations
The F306-IgE Lime test has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as per FDA's guidelines. It should not be regarded as investigational or for research purposes. The performance of the test may be affected by cross-reactivity with other allergens or non-specific binding, which should be considered when interpreting test results.
