Ginger
Use
The Ginger test is designed to detect specific IgE antibodies to ginger. Specific IgE testing helps identify allergic sensitivities, which can aid in diagnosing food allergies or intolerances, and in guiding elimination diets. The test specifically measures the level of IgE antibodies to ginger in the patient's serum, which can indicate a sensitization to ginger.
Special Instructions
This test requires a specimen of serum collected in a red-top or gel-barrier tube. Patients should follow standard specimen collection procedures for optimal results.
Limitations
The test results should be interpreted in the context of clinical findings and other laboratory data. False positives or negatives can occur, and IgE levels do not always correlate with the severity of allergic symptoms. Results should not be used as the sole criterion for clinical diagnosis and management.
