Gynecologic Pap Test (Image-guided), Liquid-based Preparation and Chlamydia trachomatis, NAA
Use
Diagnose primary or metastatic neoplasm; detect Chlamydia trachomatis
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
Failure to collect adequate ectocervical, endocervical, or vaginal cell populations may compromise the evaluation, as may the excessive use of lubricating jelly on the vaginal speculum. Special procedures are necessary for processing cytology specimens for Chlamydia trachomatis; tests for this organism cannot be added after submission. Cross-specimen contamination may occur, especially when molecular testing transport devices are used. Ensure appropriate use of transport devices to minimize contamination risks.
