Use
This test is used for the measurement of histamine in urine.
Special Instructions
State total volume of 24-hour urine collection on the test request form. This is not the Leukocyte Histamine Release Test (LHRT).
Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by Labcorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration, thus it may lack regulatory validation common to FDA-cleared tests. Histamine measurements may be less specific compared to tryptase levels in allergenic contexts.
