Use
HLA antigens may be correlated with certain disease states or other clinical conditions. Indicate in clinical information which antigen(s) is of interest. Also used for screening of transplant candidates and potential donors, transfusion of specifically compatible blood products, among others.

Limitations
The test includes evaluation methods developed and validated by Labcorp and is not FDA-cleared or approved. It may report multiple genotypic possibilities that incorporate CWD alleles for certain samples, and rare or unusual allele combinations may not be ruled out. Further confirmatory tests or reflex testing may extend reported turnaround times.
