HLA A CWD Resolution
Also known as: CWD Resolution Typing
Use
Test provides data for clients to use for matching transplant donors and recipients. Specific HLA A alleles may be correlated with certain disease states or other clinical conditions. This test may be used to identify specific alleles (except for HLA A*02:01 [167107]).
Special Instructions
For assistance in selecting the proper HLA test for a patient, HLA customer service can be contacted at 800-533-1037. Use the buccal swab kit provided by LabCorp when submitting buccal swabs. These kits can be obtained by calling 800-533-1037.
Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics were determined by LabCorp and has not been cleared or approved by the FDA. Rare or unusual allele combinations may not be ruled out and CWD allele protein sequences in the antigen recognition site may not be resolved despite being CWD. The test does not identify HLA A*02:01 alleles specifically, which are covered under a different test code (167107).
