HLA DPB1 CWD Resolution
Also known as: CWD Resolution Typing
Use
DPB1 antigens may be correlated with certain disease states or other clinical conditions. Indicate in clinical information which antigen(s) is of interest. Also used for screening of transplant candidates and potential donors, transfusion of specifically compatible blood products, among others.
Special Instructions
If you have questions, please call 800-533-1037 (HLA customer service) for assistance in selecting the proper HLA test for the patient.
Limitations
The test is developed and its performance characteristics determined by Labcorp, but it has not been cleared or approved by the FDA. Rare or unusual allele combinations may not be ruled out. Alleles that encode identical protein sequences in the antigen recognition site may not be individually resolved even if they are common and well-documented alleles. Hence, there may be multiple alternative genotype results provided.
