Interleukin-4, Plasma
Also known as: IL-4, IL4
Use
This test is used for the measurement of Interleukin-4 (IL-4) levels in plasma.
Special Instructions
This test was developed and its performance characteristics were determined by Labcorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the FDA. It is important to separate plasma from cells and transfer to a plastic transport tube to avoid hemolysis. Room temperature, refrigerated, or frozen samples are stable for up to 14 days.
Limitations
The test is not approved by the FDA, and results should not be used as the sole basis for clinical decision-making. Factors such as improper sample handling or processing could potentially compromise the accuracy of test results. Gross hemolysis and samples left on cells are causes for rejection.
