Lorazepam Confirmation, Quantitative, Urine
Also known as: Ativan®
Use
Detect presence of lorazepam, a benzodiazepine sedative and anticonvulsant
Special Instructions
This test requires a urine specimen without preservatives. It is important to use the appropriate container and follow storage conditions to ensure the sample's integrity.
Limitations
The test is specific for lorazepam and may not detect other benzodiazepines. Results should be interpreted in the context of each patient's clinical condition and history. False negatives may occur if the analyte concentration is below the test's detection limit. Cross-reactivity with other compounds is possible, but minimized through LC/MS-MS methodology.
