Use
This test is used for measurement of Tumor Necrosis Factor-α levels in serum.
Special Instructions
Allow blood sample collected in serum separator tube to clot at room temperature for 30 minutes prior to centrifugation. Transfer the serum into a Labcorp PP transpak frozen purple tube with screw cap and freeze immediately. Ensure that samples sit on the clot for no more than 30 minutes to avoid higher TNF-alpha levels. Submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested to avoid delays.
