Volatiles, Whole Blood
Use
Evaluate methanol and isopropanol toxicity and alcohol drug abuse
Special Instructions
It is important to avoid preparing the venipuncture site with alcohol and to not remove the stopper from the collection tube to prevent contamination or evaporation of volatile substances. Use of a gray-top (sodium fluoride) tube is preferred for its stability in preserving volatile compounds.
