Cannabinoid Analysis, Whole Blood
Use
This test provides an initial immunoassay screen for cannabinoids in whole blood, with reflex confirmation by GC/MS if positive—useful for detecting tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) exposure and its metabolites.
Special Instructions
Reflex confirmation (THC, GC/MS Confirmation – FMARX) will be performed only if the initial immunoassay screen is positive, at an additional charge.
Limitations
The immunoassay screen may yield false positives; confirmation by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry is required for definitive identification. The test was developed by LabCorp and is not FDA cleared or approved.
