FOXP3 Immunostain, Technical Component Only
Use
Forkhead box P3 (FOXP3) is a transcription factor implicated in T-cell regulation, activation, and differentiation. FOXP3 has been shown to be a master control gene for the development and function of CD4+/CD25+ regulatory T cells. It serves as a specific marker for adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma and is useful in the classification of leukemias and lymphomas.
Special Instructions
This test includes only the technical performance of the stain; no pathologist interpretation is provided. If interpretation is required, order PATHC / Pathology Consultation for a full diagnostic evaluation or second opinion. Shipping requires the use of specific address labels and containers as detailed under shipping instructions.
Limitations
This test does not include pathologist interpretation; it is limited to the technical performance of the immunohistochemical stain. The age of a cut paraffin section can affect immunoreactivity, with most being stable if cut within 6 weeks. The charge of glass slides may affect staining outcomes, and environmental factors can further impact slide chemistry, leading to inconsistent results. Ensure proper storage of slides to maintain reactivity.
