CAM5.2 (CK 7/8), technical only
Use
Low molecular weight keratin that primarily reacts with human keratin proteins corresponding to Moll's peptides #7 (KRT7, 48 KD) and #8 (KRT8, 52 KD) found in secretory epithelia of normal human tissue and associated adenocarcinomas. This is solely for technical purposes and does not include pathologist interpretation.
Special Instructions
The technical component does not include a pathologist read. Stated turnaround times (TATs) are for clinical use and are subject to change based on biopharma protocol requirements. Final TATs are specified in the biopharma study contract.
Limitations
Specimens should be tested within three months of being stored in ethanol. Specimens must be fixed in formalin for 24-72 hours before transfer to 70% ethanol for longer-term storage, which should be maintained at 2-8°C. This storage method, however, is not preferred.
