CD10, CALLA, technical only
Use
Cluster of differentiation 10 (CD10) is critical for use in the diagnosis and subclassification of leukemias (e.g., B lymphoblastic leukemia, mixed phenotype acute leukemia, etc.) and lymphomas (e.g., follicular lymphoma, Burkitt lymphoma, diffuse large B cell lymphoma, angioimmunoblastic T cell lymphoma). Technical component only. Pathologist read not included.
Special Instructions
Stated turn-around-times (TATs) are for clinical use only and subject to change based on biopharma protocol requirements. Final TATs will be specified in the biopharma study contract. Fresh Tissues: Specimens may be fixed in formalin for 24-72 hours by collection sites, then transferred to 70% ethanol and stored at 2-8°C for longer term storage if needed. Samples must be tested within 3 months after placement in ethanol. Unstained slides: Positively charged glass slides required to prevent background staining and prevent tissue loss. Slides should be left unbaked.
Limitations
This test is a technical component only and does not include a pathologist read. Specimens not fixed in 10% NBF or B plus will be rejected. Ambient shipping conditions are required for specimen stability. Fresh tissues must be fixed at a 20:1 fixative to tissue ratio using 10% neutral buffered formalin (NBF) and should be tested within 72 hours or transferred to 70% ethanol for longer term storage. Unstained slides should be stored at ambient temperature indefinitely.
