CD103
Use
CD103 is a heterodimeric transmembrane surface receptor that is expressed by several cell types of the immune system and is involved in cell to cell or cell to matrix interactions. CD103 is also a diagnostic tool in the detection of hairy cell leukemia (HCL) and hairy cell leukemia variant (HCL-v).
Special Instructions
Fresh Tissues may be fixed in formalin for 24-72 hours by collection sites, then transferred to 70% ethanol and stored at 2-8°C for longer term storage if needed. Samples must be tested 3 months after placing in ethanol. Unstained slides require positively charged glass slides to prevent background staining and tissue loss.
Limitations
Specimens must be fixed in 10% NBF or B plus. All other fixatives will be rejected. Stained slides and FFPE blocks are stable indefinitely, but fresh tissue must be stabilized within 72 hours.
