CD31
Use
CD31 antigen is expressed on the surface of endothelial cells in a variety of tissues with some reactivity noted in platelets, monocytes, granulocytes, and B-cells.
Special Instructions
Fresh tissues may be fixed in formalin for 24-72 hours by collection sites, then transferred to 70% ethanol and stored at 2-8°C for longer-term storage if needed. Samples must be tested 3 months after placing in ethanol. Unstained slides require positively charged glass slides to prevent background staining and tissue loss.
Limitations
The test's turnaround times are specified for clinical use and can change based on biopharma protocol requirements. Only specimens fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin or B plus will be accepted. Other fixatives will result in specimen rejection.
