CD61, technical only
Use
CD61 is an adhesion receptor found on various cells, including megakaryocytes, platelets, and monocytes. It plays a crucial role in platelet aggregation and acts as a receptor for fibrinogen and other factors. The expression of CD61 is typically low or absent in individuals with Glanzmann's thrombasthenia. It is also observed in most cases of megakaryocytic leukemias. This test is technical component only.
Special Instructions
Stated turn-around-times (TATs) are for clinical use only and subject to change based on biopharma protocol requirements. Final TATs will be specified in the biopharma study contract.
Limitations
The test only includes the technical component and does not involve interpretation or consultation. Specimens not fixed according to specified guidelines may be rejected. Fixatives other than 10% NBF or B plus are unacceptable.
