CD8
Use
CD8 is found on a subset of T-cells deemed normal cytotoxic/suppressor cells, which make up approximately 20-35% of non-diseased human peripheral blood lymphocytes. CD8 is also been reported to be present on a subset of natural killer (NK) cells.
Special Instructions
Fresh Tissues: Specimens may be fixed in formalin for 24-72 hours by collection sites, then transferred to 70% ethanol and stored at 2-8°C for longer term storage if needed. Samples must be tested 3 months after placing in ethanol. Unstained slides: Positively charged glass slides required to prevent background staining and prevent tissue loss. Slides should be left unbaked.
Limitations
Specimens must be fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin or B plus; all other fixatives will be rejected. Fresh tissues must be fixed and transferred according to the stability and storage requirements. Shipping should avoid extreme temperatures, using ambient conditions with appropriately separated refrigerated gel packs for FFPE blocks and slides.
