Gastrin, technical only
Use
Gastrin is a polypeptide hormone that occurs naturally in three forms: gastrin-14, gastrin-17 and gastrin-34. Both primary and secondary G-cell hyperplasia are reported to be characterized by clustering of the immunoreactive cells which sometimes project buds from the mucous glands.
Special Instructions
Technical component only. Pathologist read not included. Fresh tissues should be fixed in formalin for 24-72 hours by collection sites, then transferred to 70% ethanol and stored at 2-8°C for longer term storage if needed. Samples must be tested 3 months after placing in ethanol.
