HMB45 Red
Use
The human melanoma black (HMB) antibody reacts with neuraminidase-sensitive oligosaccharide side chains of glycoconjugates present in immature melanosomes, cutaneous melanocytes, prenatal/infantile retinal pigment epithelium (RPE), and melanoma cells. Studies support the routine use of HMB45 as a sensitive and specific melanocytic marker. Detection with Red Chromogen.
Special Instructions
Specimens may be transferred to 70% alcohol for transportation purposes after fixation. Positively charged glass slides are required to prevent background staining and tissue loss. Slides should remain unbaked. Samples must be tested within 3 months after placing in ethanol.
Limitations
Specimens must be fixed in 10% NBF or B plus. All other fixatives will be rejected. The stated turnaround times (TATs) are for clinical use and subject to change based on specific biopharma protocols.
