INI-1
Use
INI-1 germline mutations are associated with rhabdoid tumor predisposition syndrome 1 and familial schwannomatosis. Loss of INI-1 expression is identified in a variety of rhabdoid and non-rhabdoid neoplasms of the CNS, soft tissue and parenchymal / visceral organs.
Special Instructions
For fresh tissues, specimens may be fixed in formalin for 24-72 hours by collection sites, then transferred to 70% ethanol and stored at 2-8°C for longer-term storage if needed. Unstained slides require positively charged glass slides to prevent background staining and tissue loss, and should be left unbaked.
Limitations
Specimens fixed in other than 10% NBF or B plus will be rejected. The test is available for use in clinical trials or research purposes only.
