Neuron Specific Enolase
Use
Neuron specific enolase is a cytoplasmic enzyme expressed by neuroendocrine cells and tumors, including poorly differentiated neuroendocrine tumors.
Special Instructions
Special considerations for fresh tissues include fixing specimens in formalin for 24-72 hours, then transferring to 70% ethanol for longer storage. Unstained slides should be on positively charged glass to prevent background staining and tissue loss.
Limitations
Stated turn-around-times are subject to change based on biopharma protocol. Only specimens fixed in 10% NBF or B plus will be accepted as others will be rejected.
