NUP98 11p15 Rearrangement
Use
FISH test on hematologic specimens for the detection of NUP98 (11p15) gene rearrangement. NUP98 is known to fuse to at least 28 different partner genes in patients with hematopoietic malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in blast crisis, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and bilineage/biphenotypic leukemia.
Special Instructions
All attempts will be made to process and report samples received > 72 hours post-collection. Bone marrow is the sample of choice in most heme malignancies.
Limitations
Test turnaround times are for clinical use only and may change based on biopharma protocol requirements. Final TATs will be specified in the biopharma study contract.
