OCT-2
Use
OCT-2 is a B-cell restricted transcription factor of the POU homeo-domain family that binds the Ig gene to regulate B-cell-specific genes. OCT-2 is found in several B-cell neoplasms including myeloma, differentiate nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL), and classical Hodgkin lymphoma (CHL).
Special Instructions
Specimens may be fixed in formalin for 24-72 hours by collection sites, then transferred to 70% ethanol and stored at 2-8°C for longer term storage if needed. Samples must be tested within 3 months after placing in ethanol.
Limitations
Specimens must be fixed in 10% NBF or B plus. All other fixatives will be rejected. Unstained slides require positively charged glass slides to prevent background staining and tissue loss. Fresh tissues should be transferred to 70% alcohol after fixation for transportation. Slides should be left unbaked.
