PD-1, technical only
Use
PD-1 functions as an inhibitory cell surface receptor on T-cells and B-cells, and is important for peripheral tolerance. PD-L1 and PD-L2 are ligands of the PD-1 receptor. This test is technical component only, meaning it does not include pathologist interpretation.
Special Instructions
Fresh tissues should be fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin for 6-72 hours, with preference for 48-72 hours. Unstained slides require positively charged glass slides to prevent background staining and tissue loss. Samples must be tested within 3 months if stored in ethanol.
Limitations
Technical only test; pathologist read is not included. Turnaround times are subject to change based on biopharma protocol requirements and will be specified in the biopharma study contract.
