Slide Sectioning, 10 microns
Use
The Slide Sectioning, 10 microns test involves preparing section blocks at 10 microns to create unbaked blank slides. This procedure is essential for further anatomic pathology studies, especially in providing precise and uniform slide sections for examination.
Special Instructions
This test is available for use in clinical trials or research purposes only. Clients are advised to consult with laboratory specialists for guidance on test requirements, methodology, and interpretation.
Limitations
The test is limited to sectioning samples into 10-micron slides, which may not be suitable for all types of analyses. Only specific fixatives such as 10% NBF or B plus can be used for specimens, and other fixatives will lead to rejection. Fresh tissues must be processed within 72 hours, while FFPE tissue stability is indefinite.
