Slide Sectioning, Blanks
Use
The test involves sectioning blocks at 3-5 microns to create unbaked blank slides. This procedure is crucial for preparing tissue samples for further analysis or storage. It ensures that sectioning is performed with precision to avoid damaging the tissue, which is essential for maintaining the integrity of the sample for diagnostic or research purposes.
Special Instructions
Stated turn-around-times (TATs) are for clinical use only and subject to change based on biopharma protocol requirements. Final TATs will be specified in the biopharma study contract.
Limitations
Specimens must be fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin (NBF) or B plus. All other fixatives will be rejected. The procedure should be done with care to maintain the quality and integrity of the tissue samples. Improper fixation or handling may lead to inadequate results or the rejection of the specimen.
