Smooth muscle myosin, technical only
Use
Smooth muscle myosin (SMM) is essential for the contraction of smooth muscle cells and is used in pathology to identify smooth muscle tumors. It is typically expressed in tumors such as leiomyomas and leiomyosarcomas, helping differentiate these tumors from other soft tissue malignancies, including fibromas and malignant fibrous histiocytomas. Technical component only. Pathologist read not included.
