Use
BOB1 is present in all B‑cells expressing immunoglobulin. The combination of BOB1 and OCT2 staining is helpful in distinguishing between classical Hodgkin lymphoma (at least one marker negative) and nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma or T‑cell histiocyte‑rich large B‑cell lymphoma (both markers expressed).

Technical only; New York State specimens require provision of date and time of collection. Specimen labeling for block and slides must match requisition.

Collection Instructions
Formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded tissue block is preferred or one unbaked, unstained slide for H&E and two to three positively charged unstained slides (4‑5 μm) per test.
Storage Instructions
Use cold pack for transport, without direct contact with specimen; NYS clients provide date/time of collection.
