BRAF V600E Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Use
This immunohistochemical test uses a monoclonal antibody (IHC600) against mutant BRAF (V600E) to rapidly assess mutant protein expression throughout tumor tissue in conditions such as hairy cell leukemia, certain melanomas, and thyroid carcinomas. Detection of BRAF mutation serves as a strong molecular marker of poor prognosis in colorectal carcinoma and may indicate a sporadic mechanism of mismatch repair deficiency, offering clinical insight into tumor behavior and potential therapeutic direction.
